Ballistic: Advanced Edition App Reviews

You spend big coin on a long range rifle, a good scope, and the ammo to make it all sing, so why guess at holdovers out past 300yds? Ballistic AE computes solutions that are so accurate the guesswork is eliminated. Ive used the app with multiple rifles (300WM, 338 Lapua, 5.56 NATO, 6.5 Creedmor) and both factory and hand loads, and couldnt be more satisfied. The ballistic solutions have consistently yielded ringing steel targets on the first shot even out past 1000yds with the big bore rifles. Get this app.

I paid $19.99 to pair a Kestrel 5700 to feed data for firing solutions. The pairing was successful but data was updated only to pairing screen. I should have stayed with the Kestrel apps because paid $20 for nothing. Prior to this I used Ballistic AE. But Im just sticking with Kestrel apps and hope they re-think their partnership!

Wish it had glossary for terms and use. Cause and affect.

Has been fairly easy to use and has a great FAQ that has answered any questions I couldnt figure out. Calculations have always been dead on.

I think this app is about the best that Ive seen. I still havent figured out all of the capabilities of it yet, but so far it has been more than I expected from a mobile app.

Been shooting for 48 years this takes alot of reading and remembering out of the picture making shooting more enjoyable great great app

This app is amazing. Get it. Youll see. Really well thought out and has everything including Bluetooth support. Its worth more than $20 IMHO It had me printing at 1000 minutes from opening my bipod. If you want to get fancy you can use it to dind holdovers on moving targets. With a kestrel its pretty rediculous. Onlything i want is more bullet profiles from litz. Specifically the 143g precision hunter

Sorely lacking in loaded ammunition, which is the #1 reason I downloaded it - so I dont have to hunt manufacturers websites for load data.

Pretty good app. Does what it says. Its user friendly. Not going to get 5 stars cause of the price.

Entering the ballistic data from various ammo types really helped me improve my scores at the National Matches at Camp Perry last summer. Im looking forward to more competitions this year!

Ive been using this app for over 3 years. I do all my own custom reloading, 7mm rem mag. I gather all my field data and specs, plug it in to the app and hit targets past 1000 yards. Calculations are dead on as long as your input data is correct.! The customer support has been great.

Before using this when I shot at anything over 100 yards, I would (not too successfully) use the Kentucky windage technique. I got to the point where I wanted to really understand the science of ballistics and utilize a calculation tool. So I downloaded this app not really knowing what to expect as many stand alone ballistic calculators are very expensive. This app blew me away!! It has so many options and settings for a serious shooter; projectiles by diameter, hundreds of factory loads by caliber/brand, you can create custom specs for unlisted ammo or hand loads... The list goes on. One cool feature I really like is that you can select the yardage interval for the ballistic chart, which comes in handy for subsonic loads that drop drastically over short distances. It also has a "vital zone radius" option that allows you to basically select how big a target you are shooting so you can know your Point Blank Range for different targets/animals at distance. (Think vital zone of an Elk VS rabbit sized target) There are so many great functions in this App, Ive had it for 2+ months and am still finding new options. But dont take that to mean overly complex; you can just select your ammo, set the max/min range numbers, and have a fully detailed Ballistics Chart in no time. One thing that is lacking on this app is a detailed user guide. There are some reviews and explanations online, but they sort of glaze over the main functions of the app. If you want to learn how to use some of the more complex functions of the app, you have to first google what that ballistic terminology means and slowly figure it out on your own. Doesnt stop mean from using it. But overall GREAT APP!!! 5 stars

I have not had a situation where the app has been wrong yet. I get on target fast all the out to 1,000 yards with my 300 Wby. I have taken other rifles we have out to 5 and 6 hundred yards with exact precision. Well worth the money.

Ive used this app for 2 years now and have had excellent results shooting out to 700 yards weekly very happy. I do recommend if you buy this app watch the YouTube videos learn how to use it proficiently before going out in the field.

By far the most accurate and feature-rich ballistics app on the market today. Have tried several and stuck with this one due to its library, GPS integration, user-friendliness, and accuracy.

You know you want it, you know you need it, so get with the program. Just get it and be done. Take advantage, you wont look back!
